In 2014, German sportswear company Adidas decided to base its worldwide tech hub in Zaragoza, where its HQ for the Iberian region has been based for decades. Today, a team of close to 100 people is working here to create mobile and web solutions for the sportswear company, and it is expected to grow up to 200 employees in the next years.
In a corporate video, Adidas employees talk about their life and work in the Aragonese capital:
In its website, Adidas stresses the advantages of Zaragoza as an IT hub.
“Zaragoza is the HQ for the Iberian region as well as the rapidly-growing tech hub for all of adidas. The work we do here has the power to connect people all over the world and provide them with amazing sport-inspired experiences. (…)
With over 300 employees spanning across 10 different nationalities, we are truly an international headquarters. Our office is located just 20 minutes from the center of Zaragoza, with excellent public transport connections. Our privileged location boasts kindergartens, restaurants and shopping opportunities right on the doorstep.
Plus, we are only a short distance from the national train and bus stations with easy connections with both Barcelona and Madrid.
At adidas Zaragoza, the world’s top developers, designers and tech creators are leading the way into the digital future.“
