The Financial Times’ FDI Intelligence magazine dedicates a special report to Aragón’s economic boom in its latest issue. According to the authors, “Aragon is one of Spain’s best performing autonomous communities, which is testament to its favourable location, highly skilled workforce and expertise in sectors such as automobile manufacturing.”
The report highlights the key strengths of the region:
- Its location in the industrial heart of the country has helped position the region as a cargo and logistics hub in the South of Europe, a strength boosted by strategic investments in logistics infrastructure
- Its positioning as a highly productive automotive hub, with PSA’s OPEL factory in Figueruelas in the vanguard of car production and over 200 producers of car parts located in the region
- The firm committment of its companies to R&D and leading investigation centers such as ITAinnova and Zaragoza Logistics Center (member of the MIT Global Scale Network).
